We are looking for experienced Duct Installers to join our team for commercial and industrial building projects in Singapore. This role is open to Construction Work Permit Holders with at least two years of hands-on experience in the HVAC field. You will be assembling and installing aircon ducts, fabricating parts using hand tools, and reading blueprints and diagrams. Daily basic salary ranges from $25 to $30, with skilled workers holding a valid core trade or higher certificate earning $30 to $45 per day. Housing is provided. Daily overtime of 1 to 2 hours is available. We are a established HVAC and mechanical services contractor serving Singapore’s commercial and industrial construction sector. Our projects include office towers, factories, warehouses, and institutional buildings requiring ducted air conditioning and mechanical ventilation systems.
We are not a residential servicing company. Our work is new installation—running ducting, setting diffusers, connecting air handling units, and ensuring every system we hand over delivers the designed airflow and static pressure. We need installers who understand how ducts go together, can follow drawings, and take pride in clean, airtight, properly supported installations. Key Responsibilities
- Assemble and install air conditioning ducts, including GI ducting, flexible ducting, insulation wrapping, and associated accessories for commercial and industrial building projects.
- Construct and fabricate duct components, brackets, hangers, and supports using hand tools, shears, breakers, and other fabrication equipment in accordance with specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, and ducting layout diagrams to determine routing, dimensions, and installation sequences.
- Install ductwork in ceiling voids, plant rooms, and exposed areas, ensuring proper alignment, gradient, and airtightness.
- Seal duct joints and connections using appropriate sealants, tapes, and gaskets to achieve leakage class requirements.
- Coordinate with other trades structural, electrical, ceiling to resolve interference issues and maintain project schedules.
- Perform ad-hoc general work duties as assigned by the supervisor, including site cleanup, material handling, and supporting other mechanical installation activities.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area on active construction sites.
- Follow all workplace safety procedures and use personal protective equipment at all times.
- Complete daily work records and report progress to supervisors.
Qualifications
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of working experience in the HVAC field or related industry.
- Proven hands-on experience in ductwork installation for commercial or industrial building projects.
Technical Skills:
- Competent in the use of hand tools and fabrication equipment common to the duct trade shears, breakers, pittsburgh lock machines, crimpers, and seamers.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, ducting layout drawings, and isometric diagrams.
- Understanding of ductwork supports, hanger spacing, and fire damper installation requirements.
- Familiarity with insulation wrapping and vapour barrier application is an advantage.
Certification (For Skilled Worker Rate):
- Valid core trade certificate or higher certification in HVAC, ducting, or mechanical installation.
- Skilled workers with recognized certification will receive higher daily rates: $30 – $45 per day.
Work Authorization:
- Open to Construction Work Permit Holders with relevant experience.
- Must possess valid Singapore work authorization.
Compensation:
- Daily Basic Salary: $25 – $30 per day.
- Skilled Worker Rate (with valid core trade or higher certificate): $30 – $45 per day.
