Key Responsibilities
Your work will be vital to the daily operation and appearance of our parks. Key responsibilities include:
- Performing routine cleaning and upkeep of public areas, including BBQ pits, restrooms, picnic zones, and campgrounds.
- Operating and maintaining a variety of equipment such as riding mowers, tractors, light trucks, chain saws, and skid-steer loaders.
- Conducting basic repairs and maintenance tasks, such as painting, fixing picnic tables, and replacing minor hardware like faucet washers or light fixtures.
- Preparing athletic fields for games and events, ensuring they are safe and properly lined.
- Assisting with seasonal opening and closing procedures for park facilities, including winterizing plumbing systems.
- Interacting courteously with park visitors, providing information on park rules and amenities.
- Participating in team projects for new facility construction or major renovations and attending required safety meetings.
Qualifications
We are looking for reliable individuals with a strong work ethic. The successful candidate will have:
- The ability to perform sustained physical labor in all weather conditions, including lifting, bending, and operating equipment.
- A valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn how to perform minor repairs and operate new equipment.
- Strong customer service skills and a polite, helpful attitude when interacting with the public.
- The dependability to work independently on routine tasks and follow specific instructions for new assignments.
- Previous experience in landscaping, maintenance, or a similar hands-on field is preferred, but not required.
