Key Responsibilities
Your role will be a dynamic mix of driving and nursery work, requiring versatility and stamina.
- Safely operate commercial delivery vehicles to transport a wide range of items, from small plants and bulk soil to large trees, to local client locations.
- Perform heavy, repetitive lifting of materials weighing 50+ pounds throughout the shift.
- Assist the nursery team with various tasks, including moving inventory, organizing plants, and providing basic customer service on-site.
- Work outdoors in all seasonal weather conditions, maintaining a positive and productive attitude.
- Report to the nursery early in the morning (between 6:00-7:00 AM) to prepare for daily deliveries and tasks.
Qualifications
We’re looking for a candidate who is physically capable and brings a strong work ethic.
- A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are required.
- Must possess a current DOT medical card or be willing to obtain one promptly.
- Experience driving commercial vehicles and operating equipment is highly valued; a CDL is a significant plus.
- Physical ability to repeatedly lift and carry 50+ pounds is mandatory.
- Excellent communication skills in English are required; proficiency in Spanish is a beneficial asset.
- Must be a reliable team player, able to work effectively with others in a fast-paced environment.
- A knowledge of or interest in plants and horticulture is advantageous but not required.
