Key Responsibilities

Your role will be tailored to the rhythm of our residents’ day and night, providing attentive care and ensuring their comfort and well-being.

• Assist residents with evening routines, including personal hygiene and preparing for bed (PJM dressing). Support meal services, administer prescribed medications, and complete light cleaning and laundry duties.
• Provide quiet, attentive care to residents during the night, responding to their needs. Prepare for the day ahead by managing food preparation, laundry, and cleaning tasks. Safely administer medications as required.
• Provide all care with compassion, respect, and clinical competence, adhering to our standardized procedures and utilizing digital care systems to ensure consistency and safety.
• Work collaboratively within our close-knit care team and strictly follow all health, safety, and infection control protocols to maintain a secure environment for everyone.

Qualifications

We are looking for caregivers who combine the right experience with heartfelt empathy and a professional attitude.

• A minimum of two years of experience in aged care and relevant caregiving qualifications are required.
• Most importantly, you must demonstrate a sincere passion for elderly care and the ability to connect compassionately with people from diverse backgrounds.
• Proven competency in medication management is essential for both shifts.
• Resilience, patience, and a strong team-oriented mindset are crucial personal attributes for success in this role.
• Familiarity with MediMap and the VCare platform is a strong advantage, though comprehensive training will be provided.
• You must be a New Zealand citizen or permanent resident. Priority will be given to candidates currently residing in the Hawkes Bay region.
