Key Responsibilities

As a Concrete Mixer Driver, you are responsible for the complete delivery process from plant to site. Your key duties will include:

Conducting thorough daily vehicle inspections in compliance with DOT and company safety standards.
Safely operating a manual transmission mixer truck to transport concrete, typically within a 20-mile radius.
Navigating job sites and maneuvering trucks on uneven ground to position for accurate pours.
Setting up, adjusting, and cleaning delivery chutes, which involves significant physical handling.
Adding specific ingredients to the mix as required and washing down the truck after each delivery.
Maintaining clear, professional communication with dispatchers and customers via two-way radio.
Completing all delivery tickets and paperwork accurately and on time.

Qualifications

To ensure safety and professionalism in this demanding role, all candidates must meet these requirements:

A valid Class B CDL with an air brake endorsement and a current DOT medical card.
The ability to pass a DOT drug screen and maintain a clean driving record per company and regulatory standards.
Physical capability for strenuous activity: climbing in/out of the cab ~50 times daily, lifting chutes (up to 50 lbs), and handling bags of ingredients (9-24 lbs).
Strong defensive driving skills and experience operating a manual transmission vehicle.
Excellent customer service skills and the ability to remain diplomatic in stressful, on-site situations.
Basic math and English language skills (reading, writing, speaking).
