Your Role in Maintaining the Magic
As a Houseperson, you are the essential support that keeps our resort operations flowing seamlessly. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Assisting Housekeepers by transporting dirty linens, removing trash and recyclables, and restocking linen rooms.
- Deep cleaning public areas, including vacuuming carpets, dusting corridors, sanitizing high-touch surfaces, and cleaning windows and elevators.
- Delivering guest-requested items, such as cribs, rollaway beds, and amenities, directly to rooms with a cheerful demeanor.
- Operating specialized equipment to clean guest room balconies and perform deep cleaning tasks.
- Maintaining the cleanliness of service areas, including vending rooms, laundry rooms, and trash/recycle rooms.
- Driving small powered equipment like golf carts to navigate the resort efficiently.
- Consistently modeling Disney’s Five Keys (Safety, Courtesy, Show, Efficiency) and Aulani’s Core Values in every task.
What We Are Looking For
We seek individuals who embody a positive and proactive spirit. The ideal candidate will have:
- A positive attitude and the ability to take personal accountability for safety and performance.
- Excellent guest service skills and enthusiasm for helping guests and fellow Cast Members.
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
- The physical ability to perform the role, including using PPE, hand tools, and power equipment.
- Comfort using mobile devices (iPhone, iPad) and a willingness to learn resort-specific technology.
- Full availability for a Full-Time schedule (7 days a week, including nights, weekends, holidays) or significant availability for a Part-Time role (minimum 3 full days, including one weekend day).
- Previous cleaning experience in hotels, hospitals, or restaurants is a plus but not required.
- Knowledge of the local Hawaiian Islands and resort operations is preferred.
