Key Responsibilities
Your role will be central to bridging the gap between design and manufacturing. Your key duties will include:
- Preparing detailed 2D & 3D production drawings for CNC laser cutting and other fabrication processes using AutoCAD.
- Converting approved drawings into precise CNC program files for machine operation.
- Designing metal products and components according to specific customer requirements and specifications.
- Designing innovative tooling and fixturing solutions to enhance production efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
- Setting up, adjusting, and operating a variety of machine tools, including CNC laser cutters, shearing, and bending machines.
- Coordinating with the production supervisor to align your programming and machine operation with the production schedule.
- Handling any other ad-hoc duties and engineering support tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
We are seeking a candidate with a mix of technical education and practical aptitude. The requirements are:
- Nitec-Diploma in Building Drafting, Mechanical Engineering, or an equivalent certificate.
- 1-2 years of machine operation experience is required. Additional training on our specific equipment will be provided.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D and 3D) is mandatory.
- Experience operating machinery such as CNC machines, shearing, or bending machines is a significant advantage.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Must show initiative, have good communication skills, and be able to coordinate effectively with supervisors and team members.
- A problem-solving mindset with an interest in process improvement and tooling design.
