Key Responsibilities
As a Press Helper, you will be the essential right hand to the press operator, ensuring smooth and efficient production runs. Your core duties will include:
- Assisting with the setup of printing presses by loading paper, adjusting settings, and preparing materials according to precise job specifications.
- Feeding substrates into the press and carefully removing finished products during operation.
- Monitoring press runs to maintain consistent quality, performing visual checks for color accuracy and registration.
- Conducting basic maintenance tasks such as cleaning rollers, changing ink, and helping with minor troubleshooting.
- Following strict safety protocols and housekeeping standards to maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment.
- Accurately recording production data, material usage, and maintenance activities.
- Supporting other areas of the facility as needed, including packaging, preparation for shipment, and material handling.
Qualifications
We are looking for candidates who bring a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn. The requirements for this role are:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- The physical ability to stand for extended periods and safely lift/move materials up to 50 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends, as required by production schedules.
- A steadfast commitment to following all safety guidelines and procedures.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing, printing, or similar industrial environment is preferred but not required.
Preferred Skills:Â Familiarity with printing terminology, basic mechanical aptitude, forklift certification, and simple computer skills are advantageous.
