Key Responsibilities
Your role will be varied, combining field work with workshop precision. A typical week will involve:
- Traveling to client sites to perform service, testing, and commissioning of food processing and sanitary equipment.
- Carrying out mechanical assembly, repairs, and refurbishments in our well-equipped workshop.
- Interpreting technical drawings and specifications to ensure all work meets exacting standards.
- Conducting routine preventive maintenance and troubleshooting minor issues to prevent downtime for our clients.
- Maintaining meticulous records of work performed and parts used through our service software.
- Upholding the highest standards of safety and organisation in both workshop and client-site environments.
- Collaborating with the broader service and engineering teams to share knowledge and improve processes.
Qualifications
We’re looking for a qualified professional who brings both technical skill and a great attitude. The ideal candidate will have:
- A relevant trade qualification (Certificate III in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent- higher).
- Proven hands-on experience in mechanical servicing, assembly, or a similar role; exposure to the food, beverage, or pharmaceutical industries is highly valued.
- A strong mechanical aptitude, with the ability to diagnose issues and develop effective repair strategies.
- A valid driver’s licence and a willingness to travel locally to client sites as required.
- Outstanding attention to detail, with an unwavering commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship.
- Excellent communication skills and the professionalism to build trust with clients.
- Basic computer literacy for completing digital service reports and documentation.
