 Key Responsibilities

As a Commercial Driver with Ryder, you will be an essential part of our logistics network. Your day will focus on safety and efficiency, with core duties including:

• Safely operating a commercial motor vehicle on designated routes between pick-up and destination terminals.
• Ensuring strict compliance with all federal/provincial regulations (DOT) and Ryder’s safety policies.
• Conducting thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintaining accurate driving logs and records.
• Loading and unloading freight as required by specific customer contracts.
• Representing Ryder with professionalism in all interactions.

Qualifications

We are looking for reliable drivers who meet clear and established criteria for safety and experience.

Mandatory Requirements:

• A valid Commercial Driver’s Licence (CDL) with an air brake endorsement.
• A minimum of 9 months of verifiable commercial driving experience.
• A clean driving record with no more than one moving violation or accident (non-parking) in the last 12 months.

Additional Skills:

• The ability to follow written and oral instructions precisely.
• Basic skills to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, and procedures.
• A high school diploma or GED is preferred but not required.

This is a full-time, permanent role based in Concord, ON, with a consistent Monday to Friday schedule from 6:30 AM to 2:30 PM.
