Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for a wide range of electrical maintenance and improvement tasks, ensuring systems operate safely and efficiently. Your key duties will include:
- Interpreting and creating schematic diagrams for electrical circuits and control systems.
- Performing wiring for single-phase and three-phase systems, and conducting rigorous testing on various electrical equipment.
- Diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing faults in malfunctioning machinery, electrical panels, and control systems.
- Performing preventive and corrective maintenance on building wiring, lighting systems, and automated control networks.
- Reading, understanding, and writing simple to intermediate programs for Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).
- Modifying and updating electrical and electronic diagrams to reflect system changes and improvements.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will be a qualified electrician with strong analytical and technical skills. The requirements are:
- A relevant diploma, trade certification, or degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- Substantial proven experience in a similar role involving industrial electrical maintenance, wiring, and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in reading and drawing electrical schematics, hands-on experience with single and three-phase wiring, and competent use of electrical testing equipment.
- Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting industrial equipment and a working knowledge of PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi).
- A strong commitment to safety protocols and regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work independently as well as part of a team.
