Key Responsibilities
As a Driver with Syndicate Transport, you are entrusted with the safe and efficient transport of our customers’ goods. Your key duties will include:
- Safely operating a commercial vehicle for approximately 10-12 hours per day on assigned local and highway routes.
- Performing pickups and deliveries at various warehouses and retail outlets across Western Canada.
- Conducting thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections and completing all related documentation.
- Monitoring cargo security and temperature settings (for reefer units) to ensure compliance and product integrity.
- Adhering to all provincial and federal regulations, including hours-of-service rules.
- Assisting with loading and unloading as required.
Qualifications
To ensure the highest standards of safety and professionalism, we require:
- A valid Class 1 Driver’s Licence with a minimum of 1 year of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience.
- A clean commercial driving abstract for the past 3 years.
- Willingness and physical ability to load/unload and lift up to 50 lbs (23 kg) unassisted.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including nights and weekends, as required.
- Must be bondable and able to pass a background check.
- A strong commitment to safety, customer service, and teamwork.
