 Key Responsibilities

Caregiver Roles:

• Provide respectful personal care assistance with daily living activities, always honoring each resident’s dignity and preferences.
• Support residents with mobility in line with their individual care plans, ensuring their safety and comfort.
• Build meaningful connections by encouraging residents to participate in social activities and community life.
• Maintain accurate and timely healthcare documentation for each resident under your care.
• Help create a warm, safe, and homely environment that feels welcoming to residents, families, and team members.

Activities Assistant Roles:

• Bring energy and creativity to planning and running engaging individual and group activities.
• Help identify each resident’s unique interests and preferences to create personalized leisure programs.
• Foster a stimulating and joyful atmosphere where residents feel encouraged to participate and connect.
• Assist with organizing outings and building community connections to enrich our activities program.
• Help review and assess the effectiveness of activities to ensure they meet resident needs.

Qualifications

For Caregiver Positions:

• An NZQA Health and Wellbeing Certificate (Level 2-4) is preferred but not essential.
• Ideally, you’ll have at least 1 year of experience in aged care, though what matters most is your genuine dedication.
• A natural empathy for the elderly and a true passion for enriching lives.
• Strong communication skills and a reliable, team-oriented approach.
• Legal right to work in New Zealand is required.

For Activities Assistant Positions:

• An NZQA Certificate in Diversional Therapy is beneficial but not mandatory.
• Previous experience in aged care or activities coordination is welcomed.
• A fun, creative personality with plenty of enthusiasm and ideas.
• Outstanding interpersonal skills and a natural ability to connect with people.
• A clean, full driver’s licence is preferable for resident outings.
• Legal right to work in New Zealand is essential.
