Responsibilities
- Follow a structured cleaning schedule to maintain community and resident areas.
- Clean and sanitize resident rooms, common spaces, and facilities to infection-control standards.
- Prepare rooms for new residents after discharge.
- Monitor housekeeping supplies and maintain proper inventory levels.
- Report any maintenance or repair needs promptly to your supervisor.
- Handle chemicals safely and follow OSHA guidelines.
- Attend team meetings and in-service training to support operational excellence.
- Assist with light plant or flower care when needed.
Physical and Safety Requirements
- Stand, walk, bend, kneel, or lift up to 25 lbs and push/pull up to 100 lbs as part of daily tasks.
- Use proper lifting techniques and required PPE (gloves, gowns, face protection).
- Wear non-slip, supportive shoes while on duty.
- Follow all workplace safety and chemical-handling procedures.
Qualifications
- Grade school education (or higher).
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Positive attitude, reliability, and a genuine passion for serving seniors.
- Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience is helpful but not required — we’ll train you!
