Mechanical Fitter Watercare New Zealand

A job’s open in Auckland for a mechanical fitter with trade training and hands-on experience. This is a full-time role based at the Māngere wastewater site, where there’s plenty to get involved in. You’d be helping to keep pumps, equipment, and machinery in working shape — fixing issues when they pop up and staying on top of routine maintenance too. The place runs every day of the year, so being quick to respond and solid with your tools really matters. It’s industrial work, so you’ll need to be safety-conscious and confident in fast-paced environments. Good pay and a decent range of staff benefits come with the job.

About Watercare

Watercare is the largest provider of water and wastewater services in New Zealand. Every day, they deliver clean water to over a million people in Auckland and treat what goes back out. The company’s also known for long-term planning — there’s a huge investment going into upgrades and improvements over the next two decades. On the environmental side, they’re putting in solar systems, working on cutting emissions, and restoring land across the region. Their work touches nearly every Aucklander, even if most never notice it.
