Responsibilities

• Run welding machines by hand or auto.
• Read drawings and specs to know what to do.
• Check welds to see if they pass.
• Use brakes, shears, and bending tools.
• Decide if metal can be welded.
• Start, stop, and watch robotic weld lines.
• Keep welding tools in good shape.
• Work 40 hours a week in the shop.
• Help with other metal jobs.
• Keep your area clean and safe.

Requirements

Education

College/CEGEP or same.

Experience

1 to less than 7 months.
