Responsibilities

  • Operate dry-cleaning and washing machines, dryers, and blow-drying equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Mix and add appropriate detergents, dyes, bleaches, starches, and other cleaning agents according to fabric type and load.
  • Hand-fold, iron, and bag cleaned articles such as shirts, linens, uniforms, and delicate garments.
  • Inspect laundered and dry-cleaned items to ensure high-quality standards are consistently met.
  • Handle and report any damaged or improperly cleaned items to the supervisor.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring equipment is used safely and properly maintained.
  • Work effectively with the housekeeping team to support the smooth operation of hotel services.

Qualifications And Experience

Education

Secondary (high school) graduation certificate or equivalent experience.

Experience

1 to less than 7 months of related work experience preferred.

Type of Experience

General dry cleaning or laundry service.

Equipment Experience

Operation of washing machines, dryers, and ironing equipment.

Work Conditions

  • Fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks.
  • Requires standing for extended periods and handling weights up to 9 kg (20 lbs).
  • Must demonstrate attention to detail, reliability, and teamwork.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet time-sensitive deadlines.
