Key Responsibilities
- Operate commercial washing machines, dryers, and dry-cleaning equipment safely and efficiently.
- Mix and add detergents, bleaches, and cleaning solutions as required.
- Fold, press, and bag laundered items such as sheets, uniforms, and fine linens.
- Inspect finished garments to ensure they meet hotel cleanliness and presentation standards.
- Record any damaged or improperly cleaned items.
- Use hand irons and steamers to finish garments when necessary.
- Provide friendly and efficient service when assisting hotel staff or guests with laundry requests.
Qualifications
Education
No formal degree, certificate, or diploma required.
Experience
Prior experience in laundry or housekeeping is an asset but not mandatory.
Skills
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Comfortable operating machines and handling cleaning chemicals safely.
- Good communication and time management skills.
